| In-Building Installation for Home/Office
BDA |
| |
| Bi-Directional Amplifiers are wireless
devices which work in conjunction with Boston Amplifier HO (Home Office)
In-Building Antenna. |
| |
 |
| |
External antenna base is a magnetic mount
with a metal “L” shape bracket. Also included are three
screws and plastic anchors to secure the bracket. The best location
to mount the external antenna is outside of the building. Another
option is somewhere near a window or glass door 4 to 6 feet from the
ground. A 25 feet coax cable is provided and is to be connected into
the amplifier “Antenna” connector.
In-Building Antenna is a wall mount antenna, which has 15 feet cable
to connect into the amplifier “Cell Phone” Connector.
Find any suitable mounting locations 20 to 25 feet away from the external
antenna. |
| |
 |
| |
| NOTE: |
| The BDA is an amplifier and needs signal
from the cell site tower to have something to amplify. If your cell
phone can register on your carrier’s system, you should have
enough signal to amplify. |

CAUTIONS ON INSTALLATION |
| |
 |
Amplifier can be placed on floor – not on the
carpet or on wooden floors. If ecessary, place a double or quadruple
folded household aluminum foil underneath the amplifier before placing
on carpet or wooden floors. Keep away from moisture. |
| |
|
 |
An AC Adapter is provided along with the Amplifier.
During power-up, the RED LED (Power “ON”) light shows
that the unit is ON. Simultaneously the GREEN SST ® Light comes
ON if both antennas have the proper separation. |
| |
|
 |
If GREEN SST ® light becomes blinking RED. This
means that the external and internal antennas are too close to each
other and need to be moved further apart. Move the external antenna
away from the internal antenna until you observe the Green SST ®
Light is ON. |
| |
|
 |
Do not turn the power “OFF” if the SST
® Red Light Blinks. It has automatic signal sensing technology,
which will protect the unit from over heating and making the unit
more efficient in performance. |
